Notes: This volume represents a valuable international edition of the cult philosophical journal Praxis, launched by prominent Croatian and Yugoslav non-dogmatic Marxists gathered around the Zagreb School of Thought. The volume is divided into two important thematic sections. The first part, titled „Bureaucratie, technocratie et liberté”, brings critical texts by distinguished thinkers (Supek, Stojanović, Krešić, Rus, Greiffenhagen) focused on analyzing the relationship between the state, technocracy, and human freedom under socialism. The second section, „Actualité de la pensée de Karl Marx”, opens deep discussions on the contemporary relevance of Marx's thought, focusing on alienation and humanism, with contributions from influential names in domestic and European critical theory, including the renowned Hungarian philosopher Ágnes Heller.
