This volume represents a rare international edition (Edition Internationale) of the renowned philosophical journal Praxis, the key organ of the Zagreb School of non-dogmatic Marxism and critical theory. The central and most important thematic section of this issue is dedicated to the Italian Marxist theorist Antonio Gramsci („Antonio Gramsci”), where renowned domestic and foreign authors such as Predrag Vranicki, Karel Kosík, and Mihailo Marković analyze Gramsci's contribution to the philosophy of praxis and the concept of socialism. In addition, the volume features highly significant philosophical contributions within the thematic sections „Phenomenology et Marxisme” (including texts by Vladimir Filipović and Kostas Axelos) and „Portraits et situations” (focusing on the thought of Georg Lukács), while notable economic and social critiques in the „Pensée et réalité” section are authored by Ljubomir Tadić and Danko Grlić. Due to the presence of texts on Gramsci and Lukács, this issue is of great importance for both domestic and foreign researchers of the history of 20th-century political thought and philosophy.
