Publication distributed by the Australian and New Zealand branches of the Hrvatski oslobodilački pokret (HOP), known in English as the Croatian Liberation Movement. The movement itself is an extreme nationalist, anti-communist political party founded in 1956 in Argentina by Ante Pavelić, the former leader of the World War II-era Nazi-backed Independent State of Croatia. During the Cold War, the Australian and New Zealand branches operated primarily out of major centers like Sydney and Melbourne to advocate for an independent Croatia and oppose Tito’s Yugoslavia. The movement produced various newsletters, journals, and local papers (often under the name Croatia) to keep the diaspora politically mobilized and maintain ties with the main ideological headquarters in South America.
