San Francisco Homicide Inspector 5-Henry-7: My Inside Story is a memoir released in July 2022 by legendary detective Frank Falzon and co-author Duffy Jennings. The title refers to Falzon's actual police radio call sign: "5" for the Inspectors Bureau, "Henry" for Homicide, and "7" for his specific ID. The book provides a gritty, first-person account of San Francisco’s most violent era (the 1970s and 80s), detailing Falzon’s work on over 300 murder cases. It describes the "old school" era of detective work before the use of DNA technology, cell phones, or computerized fingerprinting. Frank Falzon was a highly decorated SFPD veteran often called the real-life "Dirty Harry". He was also a central figure in the 2021 Netflix docuseries Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer. Duffy Jennings was a former award-winning San Francisco Chronicle reporter who covered many of Falzon’s cases as they happened. His own character was portrayed in the 2007 film Zodiac.
