The Wheel of Osheim is a fantasy novel by Mark Lawrence, and the third and final book in his The Red Queen's War trilogy. It follows the reluctant Prince Jalan Kendeth and the Viking Snorri ver Snagason as they face the end of the world. The story picks up after the events of The Liar's Key, with Jalan having escaped Hell and seeking only to return to his life of "wine, women, and wagering". Fate, however, has other plans, as the literal Wheel of Osheim, a structure left by a past civilization that amplifies human will and is now threatening to tear reality apart, is turning ever faster. Jalan and Snorri must confront the dangers of the Dead King's corpse hordes and the manipulations of the Lady Blue to stop the impending cataclysm. The narrative masterfully alternates between Jalan's current adventures and flashbacks to his time in Hell, building tension and providing backstory.
